By late 2011, Twitter had becoming increasingly popular as a back-channel for live televised sporting events. Through the "Twitter Scorecard" project, I sought to use data visualization to demionstrate how twitter could provide an accurate and rich depiction of the “story” of a live sporting event.

Using Twitter's real-time Streaming API, tweets with specific hashtags and key words were collected for two NFL games. The tweets were then presented in a searchable timeline fashion using Processing. Please see this Archived Blog Post for a full project description
